SPENCER SWENSON
Spencer Swenson is a director, editor, and photographer whose work explores the everyday struggles and conditions created by capitalism. He draws inspiration from filmmakers like Gus Van Sant, Kelly Reichardt, and Pedro Costa. His films center on themes of isolation, depression, soft pleasures, and class, offering solace to those navigating the precariousness of modern life. He has directed and edited music videos for artists like Casket Cassette, Tonguecutter, and up-and-coming Chicago rapper JAY.WES. Spencer is also a founding member of the 640 Films collective and is currently developing a documentary about the Port Huron Statement.
